Community Missions contributor terms

When you join a mission, the join sheet shows these terms right above the Join button, and pressing Join is your agreement. This is the same text the app shows, word for word:

You keep your subs. ARIS and this mission’s contributors may stack them. The finished image goes to everyone who fed it, under CC BY 4.0, with your name in the credits. Leave any time and your raw subs are withdrawn.

Below, each part says what ARIS does. Community Missions has the full detail.

Your rig sends a copy of each frame and leaves the original on the rig, unchanged. The copy keeps only the header cards on the allow list. Your site never leaves the rig.

ARIS and this mission’s contributors may stack them

Section titled “ARIS and this mission’s contributors may stack them”

ARIS stacks the mission’s accepted frames into its masters after the mission closes. Other contributors never receive your raw subs: what is shared with them is the master, which is the lane masters, the finished image and credits.txt.

The finished image goes to everyone who fed it

Section titled “The finished image goes to everyone who fed it”

After the mission closes and its master passes review, the master is shared with every member who is still in the mission and had at least one frame accepted. The lane masters carry a LICENSE card, and credits.txt a license line, naming CC BY 4.0, the Creative Commons Attribution 4.0 International license.

Your accepted frames are credited under the name you give when you join, which starts as your account’s name. The credits show names and accepted hours only, never your location or your rigs. ARIS can hide a credited name; it then reads “Hidden”.

Leave any time and your raw subs are withdrawn

Section titled “Leave any time and your raw subs are withdrawn”

You can leave a mission from its page at any time. When you leave, every frame you sent to that mission is withdrawn: it comes off the ledger and the leaderboards, ARIS deletes the copies it stored, and no master shared after that uses it. If you leave after the master was shared with you, you keep it, and your name stays in its credits. See Leaving a mission.
